Bookmarks

Pin frequently used artifacts for quick access across sessions and perspectives.

Overview

Bookmarks let you pin any MetaCloud or Cloud Operations artifact for one-click access, regardless of which perspective you are currently using. Bookmarks persist across sessions -- they are available every time you log in.

Adding Bookmarks

  1. Right-click any artifact (formation, image, key, cloud account, storage, etc.)
  2. Select Add To Bookmarks
  3. The artifact appears in your Bookmarks view

You can bookmark any artifact type:

Artifact Type Example Use
Formations Pin your daily-use workbench formations
Images Quick access to your custom machine images
Cloud Keys Keep frequently used cloud accounts at hand
Cloud Accounts Monitor key accounts without navigating to Cloud Operations
Storages Access shared datasets instantly
Users / Organizations Jump to team management views

Viewing Bookmarks

Open the Bookmarks view from the Profile menu. Bookmarks are displayed as a dedicated view that can be added to any perspective.

Managing Bookmarks

Action How To
Remove a bookmark Right-click the bookmarked artifact and select Remove From Bookmarks
Add Bookmarks view to a perspective Add the Bookmarks view via the toolbar's Add View control

Best Practices

  • Pin your most-used formations and cloud keys so you can launch environments in one click
  • Bookmark cloud accounts you monitor frequently for quick cost and budget checks
  • Add the Bookmarks view to your default perspective so it is always visible
