Onboarding¶
Set up your organization, then bring your people in.
-
Set up an organization
For whoever connects the cloud accounts. Register, copy two keys from the console, and run one command on your AWS management account. Add your existing accounts, or let RosettaHub create them, when you need to.
-
Join an organization
For everyone else. Your organization is already set up: you register on its sign-up page, or a manager adds you, and you get your own governed cloud account.
On your own, with your own AWS account?
You do not need an organization. Try RosettaCloud on your own: one template, and a free tier.
Organizations¶
In order, simplest first. Most organizations stop after the first one.
- Onboard Your Organization: register, copy your setup keys, run one command.
- Add Your Existing Accounts: one more command brings the accounts you already have.
- Let RosettaHub Create Accounts: Automate only.
- Separate Functional Accounts: advanced, for landing zones that already have their own FinOps, audit or log-archive accounts.
- Connect Azure and Google Cloud: alongside, or instead of, AWS.
Users¶
Once the organization is set up, people join in one of three ways. How Users Join compares them.
| Who adds the user | How | Email verification |
|---|---|---|
| The user | Registers on the organization's sign-up page, then a manager approves | Yes |
| A manager, one at a time | The Create User form, after confirming they have the user's permission | No |
| A manager, in bulk | A spreadsheet upload | Yes |
Each user then gets their own cloud account, with its own budget, and can sign in to the AWS console or the Google Cloud console directly from RosettaHub.
